Nah. Summing up America requires her to add 80 pounds, paste a cell phone to her ear, and have her segwaying past her H2.

Well, the way they approach it pisses me off.

This person says "so, will you take less for the table?!" like I'm supposed to just come out and say "Yeah, sure, just give me $75." so I say "If you make me a reasonable offer, I will consider it."

Waiting for her to offer me $15 or some retarded ****.

I also love the tactic they use where you agree on a price via phone or email, then when you get to the meeting spot they go "Yeah, so, will you take $20 less?"

No I ****ing will not I don't need this $125, I'm just trying to get some $$ for furniture I need to clear out of my front room.

I believe this gets a little closer:

That pic was actually taken in Oroville, CA, and there is a Wal-Mart behind them (out of frame, and they were leaving the Wal-Mart at this point).

Ah, this should be good. She emailed me back saying "thanks again, see you when we meet", so I already know what's coming.

Well, at least I won't be far from home when we meet so it won't be a big deal to say "uh, no"

You can always try the "mark everything 10-25% higher than you really want" tactic...

Then why does $20 off a $125 item matter?

I guess since they agreed to the full price, then lower it when they get there would be a little annoying, but you're still getting what you wanted for it then.

its the *******ishness that they do it with. And when they do it over $5 to $10

next time I'll tell them if they want to get that intense on the price, we'll factor in sales tax too

like you're supposed to loose out on $125 because they don't have enough money

I think you're missing the point. The frustration is with low ballers who will try to knock you down on price regardless of how good a deal you're offering. Also, my frustration is with the way they do it - like they think they're some master negotiator and I'm going to just come out and say "sure, I'll take $50 less for this item." Now I think she's gonna do the other thing I mentioned, which is offer me lower when we actually meet, to try and make it harder for me to say no since I won't want to have wasted my time. If it's reasonable I'll take it, but if it's way low, I'll be like, uh no, I'm gonna go in and get a coffee now."
