There's already too many out there. The carpool lanes are all backed up.

We need carpool flyovers for CA99@Florin and US50@CA99. Then the little prius turds who cant get out of their own way won't attempt to cross 6 lanes of traffic to go from one HOV lane to another.

Honestly a 10% Decrease isn't that much. Hopefully the state can find a way to accomplish this without passing the bill to us. I doubt it though.

just another way for the rich oil tycoons to get richer and the auto industries to make new more advanced cars for us to buy so we feel like we are helping the world, but actually just making about 30-40 peoples wallets really fat.

please tell my motor that..... When your motor is being pushed to it's bounderies on california **** water, a 10% decrease will make it go pop.... and it makes making a tune for it even more pointless then it already is, since you can't make any power on 91 octane with our motors

and Scott I saw a prius today without a carpool lane sticker on it

welcome to our world, where every decision is made by a select few and done solely to make their wallets bigger, not to make the world a better place

Technically octane rating has no effect on carbon. As higher Octane fuel does not contribute to an increase in power. However amount of power available per measure of fuel does have a direct correlation to the amount of carbon.

you need the higher octane levels to prevent detenation, the higher the octane the higher the combustion point.. I don't feel like running diesel

Yes, this I am aware. Higher octane ratings correlate to higher activation energies. Activation energy is the amount of energy necessary to start a chemical reaction. Did I miss something I haven't read anything about reducing Octane rating.

Every time they do something to make gas more "green" they typically make the gas crappier / lower the octane / lower the available energy.

So basically they arent helping the environment at all they are just forcing you to buy more gas because you mileage drops so much from the crappy gas, putting on the fascade that they are trying to help the environment while lining their pockets.
