hmmm I wonder how much whp I'll make on the dyno day with this setup:

samco intercooler hose, KN panel filter in stock box, sti uppipe, helix catted dp 3", 3" stromung catback. Its all on an 02 usdm wrx motor/td04. I wonder if I could borrow an sti tmic for the dyno day lol
I'm guessing maybe 180ish-whp since I'll be untuned? This will be on Mike's dyno.

Isn't this a bad idea to do all this stuff and not get a custom tune?

From what I hear you can run a catted DP for a while without a custom tune and it will still be safe. I've talked to Ed @ Method Built and Adam @ LIC. Adam says he's ran his dp on his motor for almost a year and ran fine. They also said that the 04+ are more tempermental with their ecu's or something how they work and the 02-03 are alot more forgiving and are able to tolerate it. Theoretically I should be fine since they're just exhaust parts primarily and I'm not using an intake. Right now I'm currently on an sti uppipe/samco y-pipe IC hose/3" catback/KN panel filter in stock box. I'm getting the DP next week in the mail :banana:

Haha I kinda do. I just spent $200 on a Helix catted DP. I'm not entirely sure if I want a vf39 or what. I'm kinda disapointed that the vf39s are prone to cracking and that's what I'm afraid of. But about the intercooler I'm not sure if it would clear my cusco front strut tower bar or not. I'd prefer to keep my strut tower bar if I can. Next thing to buy is a damn 02-03wrx AP and STi TMIC preferably.
