I'd show to court anyway. You can get the fine reduced.

You should be worrying less about your fine and more about your insurance increases.

Traffic school. But I'm curious, is the fine going to be like $100 or $500...

LOL, yes. Bikecop. I was making some "unsafe" lane changes (as he put it) on Madison, although, I used my blinker during every change. Then when I turned onto Kenneth I was driving a little "aggressively" (he was behind me at the light) then lit me up after I had caught up to the slow 25 MPH traffic. My radar/laser detector didn't even go off at all. Guessing he paced me, but he was pretty far behind me. I knew I was speeding, so I'll man-up and pay it.

For 17 over? My friend did that once in California, and got just under $300 IIRC. That was like 5 years, so maybe it'll be a bit more by now.

Also, he was surprised when I told him I hadn't received any tickets in my car before...normally I don't drive like that, but I wasn't in a good mood and wanted to get home.

Blinker use != safe lane change.

I have to wait to get my courtesy notice though...which could take a few weeks.

www.trafficschool.com is only $25 and you can look at the material while taking tests. What did you do again and how did you get your fine down to $20?

Does a "I'm a safe driver and this is my only ticket in 10 years" plea work in traffic court?

Sucks you have to wait for the courtesy notice.

In Nevada they note the "bail" and court date right on the ticket. If you pay the "bail" you don't have show up for court. What sucks here, though, is that traffic school only removes the points from your license, not the actual offense (they are separate notations). So, even with traffic school, insurance still finds out
