agreed!
i am still rocking my Nokia 6256i (S40 OS) because I can do whatever I want with it in Diego.
i've got MP3 ringtones, free WAP web browsing, full BT (including file push), JAVA games, BREW apps, and my own images on it.
none of which i've bought thru the crappy VZW "GET IT NOW" services.
basically it's reverted back to the way a normal Nokia 6255i would come from Nokia.
which is minus all the crappy VZW disabled/crippled options.
i wish Nokia wouldn't have discontinued it's production of CDMA phones.

I found most of my info on xphilez dot com forums under mobile phones.
the majority of the cracks are Nokia, but there may be some other brand support there.
if not, check out howardforums and see what you can come up with.
or hop on eBay and pick up a 3256i (?) or 6256i and a DKU-2 >USB cord and start playing.
unfortunately, Diego is Nokia S40/S60 only software.

So I'm thinking about going to AT&T and getting the Palm 750. I've had Verizon for the last 4yrs and while their service is absolutely perfect the options for phones SUCK. They have the Palm 700WX, but its $399 for me and I hate their selection of phones and on all the phones, but the PDAs have the same GUI and its terrible. I love the windows based PDAs since I can perform a plethora of tasks and alot more versatility. Anyone have any issues with service with AT&T in the Sac area or even down near vacaville/fairfield? Thanks
PS - I DON'T want an iPhone if I go to AT&T

Diego: Nokia's proprietary software for programming S40 & S60/Simbian OS series handsets.
allows one to modify/change/unlock the internal software settings in above mentioned phones.
you can brick your phone pretty easily, but i always back up my PRI data right before I mod it to have a known good file to roll back to if i screw anything up.
