I think you're missing the picture...McLaren was found guilty of using stolen technology. I don't quite see how they "earned" it when they cheated to "earn" it.

Yes, McLaren was found guilty, but what exactly did ferarri do to earn the manufacturer's title? they got it handed to them basically because they were in second place.

what strikes me as odd though, is there was enough evidence to determine that McLaren does not deserve to with the manufacturer's title but the drivers get to keep their points? what's the defining line there? the drivers were running cars that used ill-gotten technology allegedly.

it doesn't make sense to have a partial punishment... i'd love to see the evidence that was presented to come to this decision.
