I was just trying to be extra nice, because I talk too much trash. Trying to cut back! . You are right though it was REALLY bad. There is no way, if I start behind a C5 on the grid, leaving 15 seconds behind it, that I should be 10 inches from its bumper at the start of turn 2...

PS. Your video pretty much sums it up! Nice!

You all are making me very jealous...
I will need to go to one of these track days, so I too can embarass myself like these Vettes..

i'm sure there are other organizations that are kind to new drivers - but I must recommend trackmasters (the group that organized this event at thill); having a bunch of instructors at your disposal, having the post-session downloads, and a just good group of people was very nice. realize that track days aren't cheap, but definitely go to one when you can; it's not as difficult as it sounds to get started

What he X3 and my crack about the Vettes was made because they were doing that kind of stuff in the intermediate group (it is excusable in the novice groups).

Awesome vids, that Vette was being hella *****. A good friend of mine races lay down go -karts up there with his dad, they pull about 2 min. laptimes so does his '03 Z-06, I think he said it did a 2:08 lap time. His dad has also been racing for the past 20+ years, mostly on thunderhill.
