Car Info: A limousine with a chauffer
So I got owned yesterday before leaving for work.
There's this project with three database boxes, IBM somethings running AIX. Anyway, our security team did their normal scans and identified a bunch of APARs that need to be installed, that of course were only released like 65 days ago. Thankfully there's a bundle. Then on top of that, I get to read through this spreadsheet to that lists all of the ports open on the system, and identify why they are open and what is using them.
Of course lsof isn't installed, so now I get to do that on top of the service pack update :\.

Spotting?
Its going... i had no idea we were even going to use this route, last week i was told to just play around with it & test the viability & now they want to go live with it... im no linux admin either i've only played around with it at home so this should be interesting.

Too bad you didn't use Fedora, I could have helped you. I've never used ubuntu. It's probably not all that different, but it sounds like it's different enough.
I think its pretty similar.... i dunno why theres so many different variants. I didnt install any GUI so i did everything command line.
