If it makes you feel any better. I was down to the last group of 100 applicants (from 2400) in 1991 for the Sac County Sherifs exam. I think I was top 10 in the obstacle course (seriously, I know it seems weird if you know what my middle aged *** looks like now) and top 5% written. I was knocked out by a CHP psychiatrist. Now that I think about it, he was right, my mind isn't capable of seing some of the evil that law enforcement people deal with every day. I probably would have been constantly depressed and suicidal because I am such an idealist inside (violin music playing...) true story. I don't believe that "everything happens for a reason" I think that saying is crap, but maybe it does in this case?
