You can get arrested for chewing gum, too. :rotfl:

On the flip side, that is one of the cleanest cities anywhere.

WTF!

I guess you can't use the:

"No officer, I was drunk in a bar...and the bouncers threw me in public..."

With this logic shooting a gun at a gun range should get you in the slammer for attemted murder or at least intent to murder.

Completely ridiculous, when I was in texasn last month I tried to get a drink at the airport between flights and was told that you can't order a drink on a sunday unless you order food with it. In the bar the only food they had was a boat full of tortilla chips with a couple pumps of velveeta. :/ I opted to purchase a half dozen single serving smirnoff 100proofs from the gift shop.

guess texas wants everyone to go to Mexico to do their drinking...
wonder if they'll wait at the boarder of Juarez to give people tickets for "walking while drunk" ???

Werd, by that logic any performance modifications to your car would automatically mean you're a street racer and should be arrested for vehicular manslaughter.

I am not defending this retardedness but I think thy are using "drunk in public" as the basis for the arrests with of course the "We are trying to catch them before they do something stupid" as the real reason. I agree with what someone else said though, is a bar a PUBLIC place? I thought it was private? Either way, I guess if they can ban smoking in bars they can ban drunkenness, just seems kind of stupid.

Yeah, a similar thought occured to me. I mean, I'm pretty sure there was more than 33 Texans drunk in those bars that night, and you gotta do something dumb to get arrested for drunk-in-public in the first place. Might be like guys getting cited for *actually* street racing and blaming it on their stickers and altezzas and tint.

This all reminds me of a peev of mine.

On those crazy car chase shows they always have the same dude doing the voice over acting like he's actually in the helicopter shooting the video. He acts surprised and all. The whole time there is this fake siren sound in the background (actual lasts the entire show). Anyway. some dude is running from the cops and eventually gets into a situation where a cop is up ahead. The cop jumps out in front fo the mad man and almosst gets hit becasue the dude doesn't care. The second that happens the fake helicopter pilot says 'oh nonw he's gonna get charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon' and ****. WTF??? the cop almost comitted suicide.

short list of lame things;
1. fake helicopter pilots.
2. fake siren sounds.
3. overblown charges.

Fixed.
