But, uh, you know my wheel *issues*?

It extends to shift ***** - I can see 11 for the STi on my desk right now, and that's not including the one mounted and the spare in the STi. I turn my own out of cherry, oak, etc, in addition to having a number of copolymer ones (including one of Adrian's once he gets white stock in, uh, stock), so I don't run the stainless steel ones in Sac summers.
I want a new shift ****. My Cusco one is too small/light. Group purchase?

2.25" ...mmm

Hmm.. Maybe the roughness of the blasted surface makes it better. Sounds like it looks awesome. Blasted and black ano would look almost like black wrinkle.

If you have a smallish metal one that you would be willing to part with I would pick one up for my Justy.

One of my fav ***** (uhhh..) was one my pops and I made out of a steel ball, then made a "case" for it out of a sphere of Hawaiian curly Koa wood which is amazing if you've seen it in person. We started with a chunk, made a ball, split it in half and used adhesive to stick it to the metal ball. Couldn't see the seams, and it was totally awesome. Sadly, the buyer of the last car I had it in wanted it really bad. It was probably between 2.5-3" diameter and really nice. Only problem was the g/f and rings... I don't know if I have any pics of it, but I will see if I can find any when I get home.

All of this makes me miss having a machine/woodworking shop in the back yard.

Alright I asked them about it. Would cost about $70-80. I'm wondering if I should get it.

and what it could look like:

It's awesome - Chris made mine to those same specs, but with a fully bead-blasted finish. It's even (almost) Paul-proof, lol.

I will say that it's a lot of weight to be slingin' around if you don't already have all of the bushings and pivots installed - that's why I ended up not running it daily.

What's that finish like? So how is it with all the good bushing installed? I have the cobb adjustable to. They make a copolymer, aluminum, and steel versions.
