For those watching at home... the above picture is of the rail to TGV seal. That didn't leak fuel.

But installing the stock injectors into the new rails did pinch an injector o-ring like paul is talking about. It's not the amount of fuel that sprays out. It's the amount of fuel that pours into the cylinder. Hence the assumed oil contamination. I immediately dropped in the PE850's because they have twice as many o-rings for a better seal.

I have four new seals. But thanks paul.

I gotta run to work and get my streetTUNER hardware key so I can tweek the injector latencies. Then I should be done. All of this just for a turbo inlet and the cascading issues afterwards. It's still good car bonding though.

The hood emblem is not a Mercedes tri-point; many Japanese models actually have their own grill badges specific to that vehicle or trim level as opposed to a more corporate identity; in this case, Junction Produce as well as some of the other high-end VIP-oriented shops market kits, hood ornaments, interior accomodations like seat trays, dashboard shelves, etc.

That Nissan President is a mix of the VIP and bozo styles, which is the new thing in VIP tuning; bosozoku influences blinged up. Old bosozoku (biker gang) style is like the cars I took pictures of near Motegi, with the massive wings, exhausts coming through the hood, etc.

The more you know......
Interesting. Well if it's a Toyota that would explain the resemblence (same front end-kit). Interesting info too. Didn't realize the Japanese did that much in tuning.

Does streetTuner allow you to calibrate the intake as well?

Yes. You can adjust the MAF volts vs. Grams per second table.

I still have the stock airbox so the MAF values shouldn't have changed that much. There should be slightly less pressure drop with the 3" inlet. Taht changes the pressure ratio for any given boost level the engine sees. That in turn changes were I'm at on the turbo's efficiency plot. blah blah blah.

I get all of the major tables you do. But you get all of the extra fun tables like boost referenced fuel correction and the table that closes the throttle to something like 25% just before redline. Plus I'm limited to only making maps for one AP. That and the fact that I don't have a dyno.

The plan is to get the car running smooth. Get all of the daily driving issues (if any) straightened out. Upgrade the turbo. Repeat the tweaking at low to moderate boost levels. Then have you tune for powah.

I forgot I had a PE850 map already setup in my AP from a few weeks ago. I loaded that and she runs fine. :happydance:
