Ooh, the iTouches have been shipped to stores.

And god damnit, my pre-order online is already "Packaged for Shipment" so I can't cancel it to impulse buy one in the Apple store down the street

 

I am BACK from my 3 hour tour..

 

Well, I just went down to the apple store, and the itouch was there. They are even thinner than those bulky iPhones.

I just wish I could have canceled my order and gotten one there today.

 

PWNSTICKS. I'd go buy one today just to spite you but I'm gonna wait a bit and see how the software and stuff works out for them before I do. I want to see the third party apps and capabilities for calendar events and contacts.

 

Yeah, pretty pwnzored.

Maybe I should just get two.

 

Oh, and supposedly they gimped the calendaring app for the iTouch. You can't input new events into the calendar like you can on the iPhone. Kinda lame IMO.

 

That's what I'm waiting for on the apps. I want the touch because I want a multimedia PDA. Like we were talking about before, the third party stuff should all be out shortly and that's what I'm watching for

 

Yeah, we'll see how that works out.

On the surface, not so much. But, with a little bit of hacking it might be pretty sweet.

It'll probably make me wish I still had shell accounts somewhere

 

All the stuff on gizmodo says it should be able to just port over the stuff from the iphone to unlock the new events, etc.

 

oh yeah. I'm definitely diving into that **** on day one, unless of course the loader software isn't quite ready for the OS (which sounds like a possibility, since the touch will be running newer version of the OS than the current iPhone OS).

 

well.... the rumor mill has stated that iphone update is released when the touch drops. and... this should be soooooner than later.
