Do that many accidents happen on 65? And isn't 65 primarily old people area? Also how har mandatory head light-on laws going to save a freaking person from an accident on a bright sunny day?? I can understand when its overcast or rainy...but on a sunny day seriously! I think people should learn how to drive...maybe that would reduce all the damn accidents

Mandatory headlights are for the other drivers, not for yourself obviously. It helps cars stand out even on a bright sunny day.

i'm assuming your familiarity with hwy 65 ends at lincoln? past that it's pretty dangerous. not that it's a windy, curvy road with lots of blind corners, but it gets backed up pretty bad and there's a lot of passing in oncoming traffic.

slow trucks + 5+ cars in a row + impatient drivers + 2 lane highway + 65MPH oncoming traffic + farm roads entering at random + long straights w/ blind turns at the end = t3h DEATHZ!

I hate 65 with a passion. And my hatred grew once I realized that they got rid of all of the passing zones. I'm sorry, but until people can understand that they need to drive 65mph in a 65mph zone (instead of 40mph) that highway needs passing zones. Traffic is going to get (even more) horrible.

And I guarantee the easiest way to actually make sure traffic moves on that road is to build PASSING ZONES! I think adding an extra lane on the outside every couple miles would make things so much easier.

Thankfully when Deede and I move into Sac, I won't have to go anywhere near 65 south of Wheatland on a regular basis. If they had instituted the lower speed limit and no passing zones while I lived in Lincoln I think I would have shot myself.

/end rant
