How long have you been part of the subaru community?
To predict what something is slowly becoming you have to first know what it has been originally. So instead of screaming "HATERS" like all these new emo noobs are doing when they catch flack for making their cars terrible, you should maybe focus on all the clean/functional/fast cars in here getting praised.

PS: just so we're clear I'm still not mad

 

Im only "hating" on how ridiculous it is to have THAT many stickers ALL OVER the rear window. Thats just dumb.

lol just because i hadnt made an account doesnt mean i dont know anything about subarus and how the owners are? ive lurked all over iclub, iwsti, and nasioc for years. but anyways, you guys do hate. weather you want want to admit it or not. and its just sad. we give props to anyone who puts work into their cars weather its track functional or not. but its never the other way around. it never has been. and i dont think it ever will be. if something comes out to be different in taste, function, or style, thats not in your liking, you start to hate. if thats not a hater, then what is? the "functional" crowd never gives props. and i notice what " this place is turning into" because everyday i see more and more people talking **** about " disfunctional " cars. and its funny how half of them question themselves as to why they dont get attention anymore and only the " cars with looks " do. not mad at all. i respect the both of you cause i know your both big parts of the community. just saying.

take "hellaflush", i dont really like it but once in a while ill see a car that really looks well done. So for the most part i dont say anything about it.

But honestly i wouldnt say putting stickers all over your car counts what-so-ever for "putting work into their car". I could go out right now and put down 20+ stickers lol

 

True 1 or 2 stickers here and there will look nice, but a whole back windshield full of it is just doing way too much

 

Have you ever stopped to think for a second WHY people hate on said cars?
Here, I'll tell you: because more often than not, these kids go to EXTREMES and make their cars ridiculous JUST to stand out.

To me those people are attention ******. Very similar to the little toddlers that you see at the store throwing tamper tantrums JUST because they're not the center of attention.

I can understand it somewhat in the VW scene. Their cars are fail wheel drive, heavy, and slow. They pretty much don't have anything else going for them, so they go for the "low and slow" or "hella unfunctional" look. They "vip" their cars out, and just have fun with styling (even though some of them are downright dangerous due to going to extremes).

But a SUBARU is not a slow underpowered front wheel drive girl mobile. Its got function to it. Its such a well rounded street car. Whats annoying is to see one butchered and stripped of everything its good at and meant to do, and made into some abomination that sits in a parking lot for its one and only purpose in life: to look cool parked.


Anyways, don't take this too harshly, Its just my (and a few others') opinion and obviously anyone is free to do whatever they want with their own cars, its just that when these types of cars are brought up we don't like it, and we speak up about it. Doesn't mean we hate you or anything like that. Just means we disagree and disapprove. I mean its a CAR for goodness' sake, not a sculpture.

Yeah I mean it makes sense and I get your point of view. But we do have different taste. I was just trying to get my point across too. Im sure you both wouldn't like my car but it's cool =).
