Speeding Ticket Help!

Hi! I need some help. I got pulled over yesterday in Nevada at Reno and the cop wrote me >< for doing 1-10 miles over the basic speeding limit. Does that mean he doesn't know what speed I was actually at? And when i asked him what he wrote me up for he said its a misdemeanor, but on the ticket he checked off Traffic. so I don't get it is it a moving violation or what? Also Does anyone know if it will be carried over to California as a moving violation? If anyone can answer any of these question that would be Wonderful!... Helps GREATLY Appreciated!

Moved from General forum.

Any speeding ticket is a moving violation. Also, if you'd have been pulled over for a felony charge, you'd have been arrested, not simply cited and allowed to go on your way.

I don't know how it works regarding CA DMV and your insurance carrier and how they are notified, but maybe some of our resident NV residents (what?!) can shed some light on that.

scan in the ticket and post it, I might be able to help a little but I've gotta see the fields the officer marked, be sure to blur your information

As of a little while ago, the two states didn't have their DMV records linked.

I believe they were are going to link up, though, tomorrow (1st day of 2007).
