FAQ: Buying out of state.
AFAIK all you have to do is get the title signed off, get a smog and register it.
nothing fancy.
maybe a headlight/brakelight inspection at a local CHP office or by your friendly neighborhood law enforcement officer.

hm. sowwy. thought it was for all types.
i still think it's pretty simple.
maybe make an appointment or stop in the local DMV and ask.
the Folsom DMV is normally pretty good for walk-ins around 1:30-2pm.
i've been able to walk in and right up to the reception window all the times i've been in there around that time.
before or after that...FORGET IT!
BTW: that charcoal one in Canadia is nice!
