Someone slashed my tires!?!?!!!!!!!

)(*&@#$(*&*(&@#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone slashed my tires....I come outside this morning, and my car is sitting like I put a drop on it....on one side. :-P
It has two slashed tires!!>!

So now, I have to get four new ones.....which I don't really have the spare cash for right now... :-(

I was going to hold out on these tires until I could pick out my rims and save the money for them, etc...I was going to hold out until I could afford 18s... :-(

ARGHHH

homke owners ins should cover the cost if you're worried about paying...but you may be looking at less than your deductable for replacing two tires.

if you're a renter..your SOL.
sorry.

Renter's insurance would cover it, but nobody ever knows that until after something happens that makes them need it.

I am a renter. :-( with no renters insurance....my dad was just telling me how I should look into that....

Ok, so now I have to decide what 18's will look good on my car.....
If I am going to go in debt for tires, I might as well hock up a little bit more, and get what I want... :-P

I wonder if my normal insurance would cover it? vandalism?

I have it, and it's especially important since I rent a room in a fiend's house. Also, STiDeede sure could have used it at her place, and there have been others here who regretted not having it for other reasons. Everybody who rents should look into it- I pay about $12 per month for $25000 of property coverage and [Dr.Evil]one MILLION dollars![/Dr.Evil] of liability.

Your car insurance will likely cover it as a comprehensive claim. Tire Rack has some nice looking 18s on sale for $169 right now.

i wouldn't advise making a homeowners claim over something like slashed tires. too many claims = dropped policy. dropped policy = screwed if something really bad happens.

Talk to your car insurance company first. If they don't offer it, and they probably do, for pennies when combined with your auto policy, then try your bank or credit union or the landlord's insurance company.

Agreed. Homeowner's insurance in CA=super major catastrophe insurance, not "gee, it sucks that that happened" insurance.
