Yeah, but they don't know that you are catless. If anything, put in your downpipe and go to the ref or keep the downpipe on and switch out your catback.

I'd take put a catted DP in but leave the rest as it is. Take it to the ref and see if it passes. No passy wassy then go stock. (do you get multiple tries like you do with the smog stuff?)

are you required to get a state ref inspection or simply a sound test? i believe that for the sound test, you can go to a "test only" smog shop and get it done there.
