Exclamation so only I can manage to get a fix it ticket for my hood scoop sizing....

so basicly it comes down to this, i get pulled over today in folsom and the officer cites me for 27151 vc for modified exhaust and 26708 (a) vc for hood scoop. He said my hood scoop was bigger than stock specs and it's an illegal modification?! I tried to argue with him on that but no success. I have a oem seibon cf hood so maybe he thought the scoops were bigger on aftermarket hoods or something. I am probably the first person to get this kind of fix it ticket. Well i assume first because i never read about people getting this one. On the modified exhaust deal, I ask him if the reason i was getting this was because of sound.....his exact words were "No, I assumed the exhaust is illegal modified" Ok seriously, that is the lamest ****en excuse ever. People on this board that know me knows that my exhaust isn't really loud and obviously the officer didn't think so too because his reason was he "assumed it was illegal" Now i need to go to the state ref and deal with a retarded exhaust issue because some officer decided to "assume"
well I'm done venting. have a good nite sric and make sure your hood scoops are stocked sized.

What were you doing to get pulled over??
I work in Folsom and have driven next to cops(bike and car) with my loud exhaust and they have not said a thing. There's even one cop that chills in my work's parking lot picking people for speeding. hmm... that sucks dude. Best of luck to you.

I need to get out of Folsom.

Is your hood scoop stocked sized for your car? <- I am guessing the answer is No...

And is your carbon fiber hood painted the stocked color for your car? <- I am guessing the answer is No...

Just because your exhaust is not too loud does not guarantee that it is legal here in the **** State of California.

You have to pay to play, now it is time to put the stock parts back on the car and get it signed off. What you do after that is up to you...

So did he put that little "must go to state ref" sticker on your ticket? If not, you can have CHP just sign it off instead of going to the ref.

And yeah, what did you do to **** this guy off so bad? You know my exhaust is LOUD and I've driven next to cops, did full throttle next a CHP bike yesterday on 50 (didn't see him, and I can't believe he didn't stop me - I thought for sure I was done) and I haven't been stopped..yet

sorry man but that's too dang funny.

when i went to trade in my car at a non-subaru dealership, the saleswoman kept arguing with me that my "aftermarket hood scoop" (which was actually stock) lowered the trade-in value. just one of the many reasons i went elsewhere...

Oh I see. That was a spelling error. I thought it was an incomplete sentence. I get it now. Sorry, my bad.
