The neutral density filter just reduces the amount of light that hits the sensor (or film on a standard camera) and allows for longer exposures without the image being over exposed.

I used ND filters on both of these to get the long exposure on the water which gave it the whispy look...
ahhhh ok.

there are many places out side i-club have 800 x 600 limits...

if the place was designed for just those with the best toys there would be streaming video and 7.1 AC-3 surround sound?

It'd be cool if you could cut the sky from the first one and put it in the second one, but that would be WAY too much work. Nice corrections though. You're a VERY good photographer.

umm, Dz I have seen some of your other pictures so I know you are good at taking pictures, but Honestly.. I am going to go out on a limb and say it... You could take these pictures by holding a filter over a point and shoot camera...Besides the coloring, there is nothing special about those pictures IMO... I know you can do better

Yeah, I guess I am just not artistic enough to blend over and under exposed sections, with blown out light sources, distracting objects in the foreground, lens flare and a dirty sensor the way you can...

Wow, coming from the master photographer you are you should atleast know that my pictures are actually pretty much untouched in photoshop, it's called Aperature and Shutter speed, I would think you would know how to change those instead of just slapping on a filter and opening the lens for 20 seconds from a side angle of a car with a picture of absolutely nothing....

I mean you are right your side angle picture of nothing is 23094903284x better then these pictures

Like I said, you are a good photographer, but your side angle shots are of nothing... anyone with a 20 second exposure and a filter can take that picture... You definately don't need a 900 dollar camera with probably an even more expensive lens...The fact that you think i'm blending under exposed light with over-exposed light(probably think i'm doing it in photoshop too ) makes me wonder if you are just a man with an expensive camera instead of an actually artsy person that likes to take pictures and capture the moment and trys to capture different things....

I just think you being the good photographer that you are, that you would have used that same filter and made an actual picture of something... Give me your filter and I can take that exact same picture with a 40 dollar camera from Target....

Oh and if you wanna talk about distracting objects....

Since when did Subaru's have tree's naturally growing out of the middle of them... Last I checked one of the basic rules is you shouldn't have ****(i.e. Trees and telephone poles) growing out the top of your car... but hey that's just photography 101, i'm the newbie what do i know...
