so you think that a bunch of cops grouped together and focusing on one single spot of the city have a bigger chance of busting a drunk driver than if they were cruising the streets and covered a huge area simultaneously watching for anyone driving like they're drunk?
im just wondering..
imo 20 cop cars patrolling a city/neighborhood and keeping a watch for drunks is more effective than creating a roadblock on one single block of one single street causing traffic and wasting time, not to mention that a half retarded one legged leprechaun on crack could avoid the block

Besides, if you're going to a club one night, and you're smart enough to look up all the scheduled DUI checkpoints, set yourself up a Google map route around all the checkpoints, then go out and hammered, hopefully you're smart enough not to drive drunk. They're picking up the people who didn't plan out their illegal drive home, are stupid enough to drive drunk, etc. They drive the main roads to get to the main areas where people party and live. The cops are there, they pop them.

They do DUI checkpoints all the time. They do them on roads where they know many people drive drunk. If they weren't effective, and consistently yielded zero arrests, do you really think they'd keep doing them?

but it's more of a respect thing... these "pigs" as you like to call them risk their lives to protect me and you. they don't get paid a ton for it either. when you call them pigs it's utter disrespect. maybe there are a few bad apples in the bunch, but as a whole, cops are good honest people.

i am not a cop, but I do have cop friends. my father in law is also a career law enforcement officer. started as street cop and is now a state investigator.
