Ah yes. I had just gotten through an unnecessary slow down and was headed for another. Two cars collided and spun out around Northgate. They were completely off the road, no debris blocking the freeway or anything, but everyone had to slow down to try and see some carnage. Then I almost got run over by a bus whose driver isn't familiar with the side mirrors, and then I almost got run over by a Suburban with much the same problem.
Fun on the freeways.

Maybe I should clarify so I don't come off sounding like an arsehole (I'll leave that to Ali G).
If you were driving along and some jerkoff came spinning at you from the other side of the freeway, then the statement regarding people not knowing how to drive in the rain would apply to him and not you.
If however, you:
a) Had to slam on the brakes because you were following the car in front of you too closely and you spun the car
b) Had to slam on the brakes because you were following the car in front of you too closely and/or were speeding and you spun the car
then the statement does apply to you.
When it is raining and wet out, people need to adjust their driving or face the consequences. People can't drive 80mph and tailgate. You take longer to stop - it's simple physics. So my statement regarding people not knowing how to drive in the rain applies to anyone who drives like it's 90 degrees and dry out there. These are people that lack that little thing we call common sense.
If you were not at fault in whatever happened to you, then the statement would not apply to you and there would be absolutely no reason for you to be offended. If the opposite is true, then hopefully you learned a valuable lesson (at the expense of several hundred of your fellow Sacramento drivers).

I keep forgetting to mention this:
I keep seeing a very cute blonde in an 04+ WRB wagon in Roseville. I've seen her on Douglas heading towards I-80 and on Cirby heading towards I-80 on a couple of occasions. It is always when I'm on my way home from work, so it's probably near 5pm.
