Angry Sacramento Scammer

I recently purchased a 07 STI SWP limited from Barry Finley who lives in West Sacramento. Address available if you want to kneecap him. He told me the sti had been in a small accident and the front bumper was replaced, and it had never been modified. I looked the car over and it looked good. After having the car looked at professionally the two front fenders, hood, and bumper were all replaced. The bumper had been repaired twice. After getting it up on a rack you can tell the exhaust has been off. So it was probably stage 2. I know buyer beware. I am not looking for any advice on car buying. I would like to know if anyone is familiar with this car? I want to know what really happened. Car did not have tinted windows or 05 tail lights when I bought it. Thanks.

I did a car fax before I bought it. I always do. It showed an accident in Georgia where he bought the car. He told me about it when I bought the car. It seems he left out some details

Well the engine on the 07 was crap from the factory, every person I know that has a 07 Sti had had the engine go at about 30-50k take that bad boy in and have a compression test done. If the engine is ok have it tuned asap!

well i guess it could've been worse... thats why I always take it to a shop before I purchase it. No matter what the story is or who the owner is.

98% of all wrx/stis have been modded. Same story here. Bought it from a chevy dealer with clean title but later found out some dirty secrets. If the car works 100% fine then why worry?

You have a sweet limited!! be happy

+1
I bought mine thinking it was all good, I was surprised lol. When buying a used car you have to expect something to be wrong with the car, that's why it's used. Brand new cars ftw!

I'd say by the location you purchased it, EQ, or Db may have some info for you.

One step ahead of you!

Checked my database and do not have a person by that name in it.
Only have two customers with STi Limited's...both are the grey color.

Going to Cobb Surgeline to have compression checked and an stage 1 OTS map until I can put my downpipe on and and have it tuned. 30-50 huh? I've never heard that. It only has 15,000 miles on it. That part I believe after putting it up on a rack and checking it out.

I see a crapload of salvaged cars crab walking down the freeway...trying their best to stay in a straight line. Must have been hell for the alignment guy. "Yeah i think we can make it work"

Speaking of that..
I need to bring my car into Paul's spot and have him take a good look at the car.
I keep procrastinating as I have been busy lately but I need to get on it. Just make sure everything is dandy.
Maybe give him some more business in the process. =D
