Rotor removal bolt holes.

Does anyone know the size bolt I need for removing a stuck rotor on my 02 WRX? I don't know if it is stuck, but if my car is on jacks I won't be able to just "run to the store" so I want to buy a couple before I do brakes this weekend. Any advice for me? I haven't done my own brakes in a couple of years.

You may want to call Subaru Specialists about that one.

I just used a steel toe boot, gave it a few light (ha) taps to the upper area of the rotor, and it freed itself. This is was an old legacy with some rusted-*** rotors, too

You need a 12mm bolt (as in 12mm wrench fits it). Make sure you use a really high grade bolt and not the one that holds your back seats down, because that **** will break off, and then when you sell your rotors to another person who's too dumb to look at the rotors he's installing will blame you for it.

Let me expand on Ban's post a tad:

Go to Lowes.
Go to the Hardware section; it's near the door **** aisle.
Look for the pull out trays of loose fasteners.
Locate the metric tray section.
Place hand on tray that has 8mm bolts.
Pull tray open.
Grab a bag that contains an 8mm bolt that has at least 25mm of threaded section.
Walk to counter (I prefer #1 or #2) & pay for bolt(s).
Say "Thank you."
