questions on going wingless

I want to go wingless on my 05 CGM STI, and am wondering what is involved in doing
a trunk lid swap as well as taking care of the middle brake light.
As I understand it, I'll need to:
* swap trunk lid
* swap springs
* swap locks (any special tools?)
* swap the middle brakelight. Not quite sure what this involves - the entire rear deck?
Is the electrical just plugging the new light in, or do I have to splice some wires?

Since wingless CGM donors seem sparse, I am also considering the route of getting
different color wingless trunk and painting it. What model year trunks will fit - it seems like
02-05 (and also 06?) are interchangable - is this correct?

Of course if you have a CGM wingless trunk and want an STI trunk let me know

Thanks,
Roy

you can actually get an unpainted trunk for around 200 bucks from subaru, then it's all about paint, then you can swap back and forth in your likings. Yes 02-06 will fit. I think that is everything you need!

In swaping the locks, there is no special tool needed. you pretty much got it covered man. good luck with it.
