Just bring the car back in stock form and tell them to fix it under warranty. If they go on about the mods walk out to the car with them and tell them to point out the mods. When there are no mods to point out (an exhaust systems whose bolts have been removed and replaced after the factory does not mean there was an aftermarket exhaust system on the car. Thats called a post hoc falacy and a small claims court will not consider that credible evidence). If they still refuse to fix it tell them you'll report them to the better business bureau and SOA as you drive to the court to file a grievence (or whatever you need to do to take them to small claims court for breech of warranty contract).

last time I took my car to the stealership service department was to get the tranny looked at. I have a 4EAT and whenever I went about 50% throttle it'd make a pulsing motion (rpm's would rise by 500, pause, rise by 500 pause...) and they said "oh, we couldnt find anything wrong......its supposed to do that."
Part 1 of that statement shows they knew something was wrong because they LOOKED TO SEE WHAT TI WAS!
Part 2 showed they didnt want to do **** about it.
they told be that it was the transmission trying to protect its self...to which I replied "Subaru put in a transmission that isnt able to handle the stock power and has to do this to 'protect its self'" which the guy didn't like very much :rotfl:
however, after I got my car protuned the pulsing went away. I find this funny because the dealership said it had to do with the tranny's computer...which Ed didn't even touch
