select "File" from the menu
open the source file you want to shrink
select "Image" from the menu
then select "resize"
change the default "inches" box to "pxiels"
manually change the biggest dimension to 50
hit "OK"
select "File" form the menu
then select "saveas" (make sure you save it as a jpg)
You may not get the best resolution as it depends on the source file.
