Now it is my turn to ask YOU all a computer question!

Hey all,

Umm... so I just bought my first apple product, at age 34 even, haha... I got an ipod shuffle and have decided to take a stab at using itunes exclusively as my PC media player as it has some cool features and of course, it feeds the shuffle!

It works pretty well, but the only problem I am having is my logitech MX keyboard will only work with itunes when the itunes application is the CURRENT active app, say if I switch over to firefox and hit "next song" it doesn't work. With media player it would always switch songs and work no matter what application was active.

Any ideas?

I use firefox and iTunes at the same time... works for me. Do u have any other type of players open at the same time? Cuz usually it's only then that it doesn't work.

I have a logitech wireless too, don't think it's the MX though.

I screwed around with iTunes for about a week until I discovered it lacked an essential feature, the ability to automatically keep the music library synced with the files on my PC. So I'm back to Winamp. I've been using a plugin called ml_iPod which works great for transferring files to my iPod. I haven't tested the sync feature yet, so I'm not sure how well that works.
