need help!! (gots a ticket)
hey guys. well i just got a fix-it ticket today. the cop first pulled me over for a loud exhaust. he let me off the loud exhaust ticket after i put on the silencer, but he told me to pop my hood. he said he thought i had modified emissions so thats what my ticket is for now.
this happened in davis. that cop was pretty knowledgeable about cars. seemed like it wasn't the first wrx he's pulled over.
a few questions
1.) i now have to go to state ref. does anyone know what i have to do after i get it signed off?
2.) will there be a fee i have to pay?
my mods are: pwr tmic, heat wrapped erz downpipe, blitz nur spec r, cobb state 2 map.
any help would be fantastic!

from what i recall, revert your car back to stock... not sure if you will pass with the blitz as it is pretty loud. once you pass the state ref, go to the court house, schedule a court date, show up to court with the paper stating you passed state ref and they will dismiss it and you should only pay 10 dollars. thats if everything is still the same. i've gone through this about 4 times already.

i know that an exhaust fixit ticket is whatever the court charges for processing and you have to get it signed off by any officer. ($10-20 court fee i think)
now..i think you got a "modified" fixit ticket.. that means you have to go to a california bureau of automobile repair office. website: http://www.bar.ca.gov/
you pay a fee and they inspect your engine for emission stuff.. if they pass you, you bring that certificate to you court and pay another processing fee
yeaaeee
so you better put all your stock sh*t back on dude and hope for the best! they are ****oles. (not all but many)
good luck man!

I am pretty sure that if its a state ref ticket you have to revert your car back to stock. Put your stock DP back up, put your stock exhaust back on cause they will most likely not pass you for that loud *** exhaust. I would rather be safe than sorry about the exhaust. I think it would suck to pull up to the ref's and have them deny you because of your exhaust even though its not on the ticket(i could be wrong though.) Relfash your car back to stage 1 and you should be good. Your just gonna have to go to court and they will give you a fine. Good luck either way
