My Legacy is...

... coming to California!!!!!!!!

So I'm driving back to California. The car is packed pretty damn full. My brother flew out to drive back with me. We left earlier today around 3pm your time. Tonight we're in Toledo, OH. I'll take a picture of the car tomorrow morning so you can see how low it is. Hopefuly we'll see something more interesting tomorrow. Nothing so far, just an SSR with a trailer, looked kinda odd.

Tomorrow is Chicago and then heading down to St. Louis to see the arch.

sweet dude, that's gonna be one hell of a drive.

don't pay to go up the arch though, you really can't see much out of the car that runs inside of it.

the arch really is pretty spectacular the first time you see it. it may not sound like much to hear people talking about it, and even seeing it in pictures doesn't make it look like anything special. but seeing it in person is just unbelievably cool.

and then after that it's just a damn arch! :character00231:

I wish I would have checked this yesterday morning. We decided for time constraint (Mother's Day), that we're going to skip St. Louis and just go straight to Mt. Rushmore. So far 80 hasbeen pretty uneventful except for a couple cool cars, BMW 760Li, Viper, and that's about it. We did stop at a fireworks store Indiana, 2 hours in the store and $250 later... we officially have no nooks or crannies to put anything else in the car.

Pictures (if these don't work it's cuz they're on flickr and I'll reupload them tonight.):

Update: We're in Murdo, SD. South Dakota has to be the most boring state. It's flat, with an occasional set of foot hills. You can see for miles in each direction, and it's all farms. Hopefully the rest gets a bit better. I'll post more pictures tonight, there are a couple decent ones.

Alright, so we made it to Rapid City, SD. We're about 20 minutes from Mt. Rushmore. Today was pretty boring, as I said earlier, but it did get a bit interesting after that post. We came up on the Badlands, it's kinda like a mini Grand Canyon.

Pictures: (all 72 can be seen here.)

Always kinda wanted to do this:

Thought this looked kinda good:

This is what we saw 60% of the day:

Thought this was pretty interseting:

Cool pics...I hated the drive from WI to CA, but I did get to see a lot of cool landmarks.

I know what you mean, but I don't really mind the driving too much. Coming from a farm, it's kinda interesting for me to see them all out here. Yeah, I'm odd like that. But SD did get pretty boring.
