Moving to Davis where do I buy things?

Figure i'd post here rather then the usual Bay Area threads. But I was curious if anyone knew any good places to buy some furniture and such for an apartment? First time leaving home so im trying to figure out if I should just buy it here in the San Jose Area and just bring it all in a truck or just buy it all there in Davis or Sacramento.

we have about the same chain stores that you would have in the bay. we don't have an IKEA though.

it all depends on your budget... there's everything from Target to Naturewood.

i believe sac/yolo county have lower sales tax...
plus you'll save the space and gas from transporting a smaller load...
i'd say buy when you get to davis...unless it's IKEA stuff...west sac still hasn't gotten theirs yet...so it maybe cheaper to get IKEA type furniture in the bay.

oh yea...and welcome to the valley...stay away from guys in Elk Grove...they like little boys.

Do you need a fridge? I have one I need to move on out of my parents place before they kick my ***. It is a nice black side by side, ice maker, water dispenser and all.

Other then that I would shop in dowtown sac, that is where you will find most deals.

Don't make me come up there.

oh and welcome to the SRIC family.
Enjoy your stay. Don't mind the e-thugs because they are all harmless.

if your moving into an apt, when people move out they throw out completely good furniture. they just put it out by the dumpster so they don't have the hassle of moving it around. i found a good desk and table that i use in my apt. sometimes people put up notices of what they are throwing out by the mailboxes and stuff too.

I could have sworn there was one. Hmm, maybe it's some other store in the outlets I'm thinking about.
