The most DANGEROUS intersection in Sacramento?

This article is from 1999 but Fair Oaks and Watt Ave was identified as one of the top ten most dangerous intersections in America.

I never felt anything out of the ordinary when driving through that intersection but I don't like the idea of crossing either of those streets on foot during the rush hour.

Oh, geez - here's an update on the Ten Most Dangerous Intersections from State Farm. We made the list again.

Maybe we could make that intersection safer by diverting traffic to Howe and Fair Oaks.

Traffic does seem to flow better through there once the American River crossing reconstruction was completed.

lol, did you notice that it says: 10 most dangerous intersections & photos? Careful, the pictures in those intersections are just as dangerous as the intersection itself... lol

I like how they assign a rating to each dangerous intersection, calling it the State Farm® Danger Index.

Yeah. I've seen that list. I thought it was Howe and Fair Oaks. One funny thing about that list is some city (oklahoma city maybe) has 3 of the top 10 most dangerous intersections all on the same street!!!

It's the old use-the-interstate-as-main-street-in-a-rural-town thing. Cuz you know, it's a great idea to put cross streets on 6-lane divided highways. Even better, in Tennessee, Interstate 65 has driveways off of it. WTF are you thinking buying a house that is directly on a freeway?

I think the intersection right behind Round Table at the meet is one of the most dangerous intersections in Sac
