Trust me, I can relate.

It's not that simple. It's partially dependent on gearing, and partially on how the weight is distributed on the wheel (i.e., 18 pound 15" wheels are "lighter" than 17 pound 18" wheels, and 20 pound 17x10s are much "heavier" than 20 pound 17x7s). Search the Mini and Miata forums, some guys in there went crazy with the physics involved and spreadsheets and stuff over the subject.
