Yeah if I didn't take 65 it would be significantly longer distance and time. The shortest route without getting on 65 is 7.1 miles and about 10 minutes longer drive time or more time if there is a train going through town.

Well at least you have options if traffic is horrendous.

Ive got 80 over the causeway or 113 into Woodland to hop on 5. Either take 80 from there or 99 and alllllll the way down Elkhorn lol.

Part of me wants to try a road bike and see if I can reasonably ride to work. I'm worried about getting all sweaty and reeking of BO all day. I don't want to be that guy!

Use soap when you shower and you won't have to worry about smelling bad no matter how much you sweat.
