Planning on heading over there in April and will probably stay about 2 weeks. One of my childhood friends and his wife live near downtown so I'm going to stay with them. Definitely planning on a Capital tour and White House (if it's open for tours) and Arlington National Cemetery, then check out whatever monuments/museums that I have time for. He works for the Pentagon, so hopefully I can also get a bit of a Pentagon tour.
Knowing someone who works in the Pentagon is a huge plus, I bet you'll get to see some cool stuff there. There are tons of tours, museums, etc. to keep your time occupied. What part of DC does your friend live in? Or is he in VA? (Downtown doesn't really mean a whole lot.

A while back someone was asking about powder coating their wheels. Then, if I remember correctly, Aaron warned against doing this to a particular type of wheels. Was it alloys?

Forged wheels, specifically (like the BBS's), because places that don't cycle the wheels properly can anneal the metal and make it softer.
Most decent PC places should be fine, but dude with an industrial oven who goes "ah, it'll be fine" = run.
