I went with the Hitachi. Was a good tv for under 2K the panasonic was only at 720. (also I try to stay away from panasonic brand stuff. Bad experence with their products.) But the panasonic was a good buy for the price.

Plus the Hitachi has a slot to put in the cable card. No nasty cable box.
