Goofy question for the veterans. AP V1 on a stock car. Noticeable difference or minimal?
I was expecting a bit more in the seat pull, really haven't felt it yet (8 hrs since load). Boost hasn't peaked above 10.4 (according to Torque app on phone). Read somewhere a minute ago that it was comparable to AC on or AC off power difference, if that's the case, then I am disappointed but can say I probably have felt that today even in the heat.
(Also, serious Turbo newb alert, is there a prime scenerio for testing upgrades w/o a dyno? Heard the "3rd gear data log" term a few times)

I know it being in the mid 90's my car runs a bit slower, I am ready for my 6AM drive to work knowing the cooler temps are there

(Also setting my app to start data-logging everything so I will have better offline records)

See post #5. I wasn't joking when I said that, nor trying to make you feel bad.

Here's what a stage1 basic tune (extremely mild) did on mine back in the day.

Later on I messed with it some more and was able to extract more midrange out of it. Past 5k you really won't gain any power or torque though, its just too restricted to do that with stock exhaust.

your boost should be between 13-14psi. use the ap to double check in 3rd gear. you're running the ACN version of the map?
stage 1 doesn't do a whole lot for "oomph" but does smooth out the car a lot.

Ill use AP in the morning to recheck boost, but I should be reading straight off of the engine as is with my obdII tool.
And I was expecting to use the acn map, but found that for V2 only? Also I am lacking the CD from Cobb, I downloaded the map manager but need the USB to serial port adapter to plug the AP in my laptop.

I will do more research, 10.4 -10.6 is the peak that I am hitting, makes me think something more then the AP software needs checking.

Oh and for an 04-05 FXT, there is no ACN map, for an 06 FXT there is, odd.

you'll likely need to adjust your wastegate.

Was under the impression that that map was V2, I have been hitting the archives for V1 maps.
Also waiting to get an adapter so I can plug the AP into a computer. Sigh.
