Eh dudes got my wheels. I went with the oem alloys it seems the 5x100 pattern is not popular with 15" rims. There were some 16"s and !7"s but that is not what i wanted and out of my budget considering i just bought my new tires.
Any one have any tips on painting. Im going bronze BTW. I just cleaned them and got the dirt of the surface, well all that i could. What sand paper should i use to sand? and how many primer/paint coats should i use?

you'll need:
rubbing alcohol
index cards
masking tape
400 grit sandpaper
3 cans spray paint (base coat, you need about 4 good coats per wheel)
2 can spray paint (clear coat, you need 2 good coats per wheel).
you might need:
scotch brite pad
320 grit sandpaper
2 can primer (you only need 2 good coats per wheel)
optional:
1500 grit sandpaper
rubbing compound
note: if the wheels are already painted, you don't need the primer or the 320 grit sandpaper.
1) clean the wheels off, really good. wash them, go over them with rubbing alcohol, then wash them again. let them dry completely.
2) if the wheels are bare metal, then scuff them with the scotch brite pad. be sure the get every surface with the thing, but you don't need to rub too hard.
3) next go over every surface with the 320 grit sandpaper. again, don't worry about rubbing too hard. you just want to make sure that you get every surface.
4) wash the rims again, really good. let them dry completely (you can use an absorber, or something like that to speed up the process).
5) if there are tires on the wheels, block them off with index cards (wedge them inbetween the tires and the rims). it also might help to tape some plastic bags over the tires just in case.
6) if there are valve stems in the rims, use masking tape to cover them.
7) give the rims 1 good coat of primer, let it dry completely.
8) wet sand the primer with 400 grit sandpaper. don't rub too hard, but be sure that you get every surface. let the rims dry completely
9) give the rims another good coat of primer. once that dries completely, give them another coat (2 coats total in this step). let it dry completely.
10) wetsand the primer again with 400 grit sandpaper, again, don't rub too hard, just get every surface.
11) 1 last coat of primer. let it dry completely.
12) wetsand the primer with 400 grit sandpaper. again, don't rub too hard, and don't miss any surfaces.
13) wash the rims 1 more time, make sure to get every spot. let dry compoletely.
14) first coat of base color. don't need to saturate the rims, just give it a good once-over. let dry completely.
15) lightly wetsand with 400 grit sandpaper. just rub it gently over each surface. let dry completely.
16) 2-3 more coats per rim. don't worry about saturating with each coat, just get good coverage. if you can't get every surface with one coat, get it on the next coat. be sure the wetsand with 400 grit sandpaper after the second coat. let dry completely.
17) once the last coat is dried completely, give each rim two coats of clear, and let dry completely.
18) if you want, at this point you can lightly wetsand with 1500 grit sandpaper. when the rims are dried completely, buff them out with rubbing compound (use a terry cloth towel).
or, you can let me paint them for you!
