History does repeat itself, this is another "Great" depression we have going on here. I am actually reconsidering the Coast Guard, enlisted. I know I am not going to to be happy unless I am somewhere in my field.

No bumping rights... and with what I am hearing about other areas of the county, I don't even to transfer.

Just sucks that there is no unemployment left. But I know I will make it, even if I have to work a crap job for a while. I just really loved working with those kids. It was/is a really fun job.

 

no worries man, another great job will come your way in the future. For the time being, I don't think any job is a crap job. If a job has benefits and you get a pay check every two weeks, you are blessed. Take what you can get, it is tough out there.

Man guys, that blows hard

My job just announced that they are laying off another 200 workers (all manufacturing related) after laying off 500 workers in Nov. That's about a 15% reduction.

 

I am gonna try for Coast Guard reserve officer.... tried once before for officer in the coast guard, but they didn't take me, hopefully reserves happen.

damn sorry to hear that other are being laid off, harsh harsh times. ****ING SUCKS!!!!!!

 

At this point, I think we can start our own support group.
