kragen on florin road.. COOLANT!

Quick questions!
1) i went to kragen on florin road and bought "PRESTONE ANTIFREEZE COOLANT" It says (New formula!, All makes, All models, mix with any color antifreeze)

Q) I had 1/4 left of stock 2006 wrx coolant in my car so i filled up halfway with this .. is it ok? Do i have to flush? My friend said its not good and he works at TOYOTA. He said my car has orange coolant from GM and I needed green coolant. Is this true?

The coolant i bought "Prestone" is yellow green. please help. I have pictures if u guys need to know how it looks like. HELP!!

I've always used Prestone without any problems.

I had heard it was the only one on the market with the same chemical make-up as the Subaru stuff, but you can't always believe everything you read on the intarweb.

If the Prestone is the same make-up, it shouldn't be a problem. I've only ever completely drained and then completely refilled the coolant.

Since you only have 1/4 left in the system anyway, you might as well drain it out and start fresh with the Prestone stuff.

The mixing isn't the problem. The fact that you only have 1/2 of the required coolant level is the problem.
