Keep the change, biotch! (save some mod moneys)
I have no problems with BofA. I finaced my car through them and I asked them to lower my interest rate and they said "fine." It wasn't high to begin with, but I didn't like to pay the extra money. The only thing I don't like about this is if I start using my Visa ATM card, I can't earn my subarubucks!

Hell yeah, I've got 200 subaru bucks I need to spend on something.
sounds like time to go to the self-checkout at the grocery store and ring up every item seperately...then swipe the card and start over...
might take a while, but imagine what a cart full of grocerys would yield you!
the gas fill up idea is good too...buy why stop at $5.43? stop at $1.01 every time!
that's $.99 * 25/30 transactions =

Hmm when i went to Arizona it wouldn't let me put money in using the ATM I have to go inside and talk to the teller. I coudl always take money out using the ATM just not put money in. Going to the teller though i could do whatever i wanted. My account is linked to cali.
Also I havent had a single problem with BOFA I have been a member for 8 years. The only thing that is annoying i when you call them to make your cap higher so you can buy something, you speak to a person who is middle eastern and can't speak english very well, and alot of times don't understand what you are trying to say.
Then sometimes BOFA's security thing is a little retarded. I was using my car a little more then I normally do, so they shut my card down without me knowing it. I was at a mall buying shoes/clothes/hats etc etc, I went in and bought a couple hats. Then went in and bought some shoes and clothes... Then I walked directly across the way of the store I was just at, tryed to buy another pair of shoes and it denyed me.... I was like umm WTF i just used it half a second ago, so I called up BOFA. They said that "You have been spending faster then you normally do so we shut it off to make sure that you knew about it" I was like Umm ya I know about it im holding the damn card right now, so he was like "ok where was the last place that you used the card" I was like umm 10 seconds ago at Champs Sports. He was like ok we took the hold off your card you can now use it again.
It's good when you actually loose your card, but god damn it's a PITA when you have it

My grandfather had a major identity theft crisis with BofA years ago. Turns out there was a breach in their security they failed to catch. With the exception of military records and a couple credit cards, my Grandfather did not exist on paper for an entire year. It was a huge mess straigt out of that movie 'The Net.'
As a wholesale broker I do not work with BofA. I rarely work with bigger banks.

BofA has control of all Fed Gov travel cards. and they demand that poor sobs stuck in the sand (Iraq for those that don't understand) pay evey 30 days or get fined late payments and have it reported to their commanders. they pulled that BS on me for $2.50 because the day my bill was sent in and the day they got it the damn currency exchange changed.
so i'm with Oaf, F--- BofA
Bunch of A$$hole$

Anybody who increases their normal spending to save more in this way is dumb. I'll just keep buying as I normally do and get a little extra thrown in to savings for me with no effort.
Like I said before, if the bank wants to use that money to help make more money for themselves, fine with me, that's how they get paid. Besides, my BofA savings account is one that I use for playing, we keep our main savings in a higher interest account.

If anybody cares, I just added up all of my "Keep the Change" transactions. The first was November 14, 2005, the most recent was last night.
Total for just over 10 months: $572.64

Doesn't matter, they only match $250 for one year. I don't think I maxed out the 250 for the first 3 months though. People get kinda pissed when you want everything on a seperate receipt.
After the 3 months, I don't see any point doing it for the %5 match unless what you buy is less than $0.40. There are better options like using wamu's debit and they will give you $0.03 on each transaction or certain credit cards give 2-5% back depending on what you buy.

I'm not doing it for the free money, I'm doing it to transparently transfer money in to savings. I'd say it's worked pretty well and that $572 doesn't include the promotional pay they'll be sending my way in 2 months or so.
