fastest trip i ever took was from Marysville to Las Cruses NM (~1190 miles) in a touch over 17 hours...
(av speed ~70 for the entire trip including stops)
we only stopped to pee and get gas (and we got food when we stopped for gas).

as soon as we hit the desert in SoCal we were going as fast as the little cavalier would allow (117 MPH)... if you went a mile over it would cut the fuel until the car slowed to around 110-112 then accellerate back to 117...
i drove at 117 for all night, through AZ and into NM.

did i tell you how much i hate chevy cavaliers?!?!

the funniest part about the trip was i DID get a ticket BUT it was once i pulled into Las Cruces, NM and i got a ticket for going 50 in a 40.
10 over! wo0t!
hahahahaaa.
(NM is cool about tickets. as long as you pay, they don't report it to the DMV.)

i'd never do it again, but was sorta fun.

*Update on the Bumper Beam *****
I think we both had some time to cool off. that stuff was getting rediculous.

I spoke to JSCSPEED and they don't want the Bumper Beam Back. I asked them to do me a favor and take it back anyway & they said they would. I now owe them a favor.

Here is the address you can send the beam to:

JSC Speed, Inc.
ATTN CHRIS CANDIDO (BUMPER BEAM)
79 Steamwhistle Drive
Ivyland, PA 18974

I will refund you $120 after they get it. I can't give you back the shipping.

I hope this works for you.
It's gunna cost me atleast 40 bucks to ship the bumper back...so basically I still would have lost 80 bucks worth of shipping if I go this route....

Central Texas (Ft. Hood to be exact) to Vacaville in 36 hours of seat time. In a U-Haul van. With my pickup on a trailer behind it. Suck it, ******.

I pretty much averaged 100 mph with my trip, even going through LA. What is funny is I was going that fast through Arizona, there was a car infront of me going the same speed. all of a sudden I see a car coming up flying behind us so I was like who the **** else would it be, so I pull over and slow down. Sure enough it's a cop, so he pulls the other guy over(who was in front), then once they went off the freeway back to 100 I went! LOL

I don't even wanna say how fast I got from Sacramento to Arizona... I definately wouldn't have a liscense right now if I got caught at some speeds. I started the drive at 12am, I was there by 9am stopping a lot! I think it's quoted at a 11 1/2 hour drive?
Used to take me 12 from San Jose. Nice pace. :rotfl:

My trip was 2200 miles. The total time was 53 hours, but I stopped to sleep for 9 ours and 8 hours. The rest includes gas stops (9 mpg; do the math) and food/rest stops. The E-250 U-Haul vans are governed at ~95 mph... oh, and they have 3EATs.
