is that according to turbotax? a guy that phister recommended saved me like $700 vs. what turbotax said we owed. took us from $2k to $1300. cost me close to $250, but it's still a net savings.

oh, and on the topic of taxes... i found these two sites at work today, they're the online payment sites for the IRS and Franchise Tax Board. you can pay your tax bills with your checking acct by entering your routing number and acct number. i've seen other sites that charge like a 10% fee to process your payment.

Yeah, I normally get money back, I was just paying a lump sum on stock sales, so it's nothing deductions could really help with. No house, no big purchaes to deduct sales tax, etc.
