i didnt, only because i dont have an ipod, LOL. if i did, it would only be in one ear.
hell, i know a guy thats a CHP motor cop, and when he rides his gixxer he listens to music.....

think about it this way....
everyday you find that one cager listening to music in his car, cell phone in one hand. starFawks in the other. either almost runs into you in the car, or almost gets plowed by an cop/firetruck/ambulance. I see it everyday on HWY80 durring AM traffic, a motorcyclist almost gets taken out splitting lanes by some lifelong cager.

Listening to headphones/earphones while operating a motor vehicle is illegal in CA. It impedes your ability to hear sirens (not that cranking the radio with the AC on in the summer doesn't also, but only one is illegal).

Phone rings in my helmet. I glance at the caller id on the GPS. tap the answer button. tell the wife when I'll be home (using the ETA on the GPS). Hang up the call and the tunes ramp back up.
Really it's not as distracting as it sounds. Wind noise is still the loudest thing I hear.
