and then that one day you are paying attention to the music more than the road and that cager takes you out.
....s**ttay!
think about it this way....
everyday you find that one cager listening to music in his car, cell phone in one hand. starFawks in the other. either almost runs into you in the car, or almost gets plowed by an cop/firetruck/ambulance. I see it everyday on HWY80 durring AM traffic, a motorcyclist almost gets taken out splitting lanes by some lifelong cager.

/end rant

Listening to headphones/earphones while operating a motor vehicle is illegal in CA. It impedes your ability to hear sirens (not that cranking the radio with the AC on in the summer doesn't also, but only one is illegal).

I have a hook up for an i-pod when the tank bag is on. But I don't use it much anymore. The GPS there plays mp3, audio books and XM radio. Oh, and it also connects to my phone via bluethooth.

http://www.garmin.com/products/sp2820/

Phone rings in my helmet. I glance at the caller id on the GPS. tap the answer button. tell the wife when I'll be home (using the ETA on the GPS). Hang up the call and the tunes ramp back up.

Really it's not as distracting as it sounds. Wind noise is still the loudest thing I hear.

A ha-I never said that BAR passed me with that **** on-I just said they passed me. The paperwork for BAR does not specifiy what you had on your car at the time it passed.
