With summer just around the corner, I'm looking to see if there would be any interest in getting together for an installfest. I figure what better way to spend a Saturday then working on and talking about our cars.
I'm willing to host one (got an EMPTY and very clean garage) with plenty of tools (both air and regular) a hoist and plenty of jacks and jackstands, and of course a torgue wrench.
Right now Im checking to see if there is a sizable interest in doing this. Maybe make this one of the weekly Sat meets?
I figure those who have parts they've been waiting to put on once good weather came around could do this in a place where they could get help by those who have done it already. Others could help and chat, or play GT4. I figure we all could chip in and get pizza's or even get the grill going and cook some dogs and burgers.
I held one a few years back and it seemed to be recieved well. Neighbors are cool and there is plenty of room to park (I live on a corner lot). I live in Lincoln (by the airport) which may or may not be the best for everyone, but at least there are some good twisties near by to test and play afterwords. ( Afternoon Drive?)
Let me know if this sounds like a good idea and if you are interested. If so, let me know who and give some suggestions as to which day.
Cheers
Eddy L.

Looks like the interest is showing. As for which weekend.....I was thinking about tenitively May 21st (Sat), but another day is ok if this conflicts with another event (Like a holiday). This is the weekend after finals, so there should be no excuse for those who still go to college (like myself).
This will also give time for most to plan. Also with RIM happening on the 7th, it'll give some of us time to recoup after that party!
I'll can raid the local Costco and get plenty of soda and edibles. Beers ok, but be sensible (Dont want anyone getting into possible trouble).
Any suggestions to make this a fun get together is always welcomed. And of course bring your girlfirends and wives along.......they can either take part in the car fun or keep my wife and each other happy (not all have the same interests as we do....sad but true).
Cheerio

The 21st is cool with me, since it's between the two "road" events for Reno SCCA.
Unless I decide to go to Utah for the national ProSolo event though.

We could do a drive / install on the same day or same weekend.
