I WANT TO DO THIS!1!!!one!!!

http://www.turbo914.com/

back in highschool i wanted to get a 914 and do a chevy 350 swap. but this EJ swap is PERFECT. get a good suspension under that thing, cage it up with some good seats, r-comps and nice brakes and it would be one helluva beast on the track.

things that make you go hmmmm......

There's one in the garages at Thunderhill. It's insanely loud and quite fast (when it's running correctly).

I've looked into acquiring a 914 in the past as a project car. The difficult part is trying to find one that hasn't been swiss cheese'd. VW cheapened out when they prepared and painted the bodies.

ahh ok. yeah, i was looking into those a few years ago. my dad and i were thinking of getting a 914 to play with. but he wanted to restore it as a 914-6 and i wanted to drop a V8 in it and make it a track car, LOL. so we kinda scraped the idea.

Was that one at T-Hill a black one? Someone was racing it during the Porsche Challenge races, and it was holding it's own, even beating a few of the others. I didn't get a chance to see what type of motor was in it. But, it was fast!
