I haven't seen Hostel yet.
Pitch Black, Solaris, Sphere, were alright. (scary sci-fi > sci-fi > *)
I guess you could say the Abyss had some unconfortable moments (the whole breathing liquid made me a little nervous).

I think i wanna watch that movie strictly because of her... I remember when I went to U.A. theatures and they would do that 20 minute thing before the movie and they kept showing the preview to her movie... I just kept going wow... she keeps getting hotter and hotter.... until she dresses like a guy

i havent seen a movie that has actually scared me since i was probably in 5th or 6th grade. for some reason gory movies just make my stomache unhappy, but i havent been scared in a movie. i've jumped in a movie or 2, but not scared.

The last movie that scared me was the Sixth Sense. I watched it alone in the dark and that was a mistake. Before that, it was probably the original Nightmare on Elm Street when I was much younger.
Filmmakers have really lost the ability to truly frighten audiences. Blood and gore is not what scares people - it's the anticipation that builds up in your own mind as you watch the film. That's why a movie like the original Psycho can still scare someone who hasn't seen it before. Hitchcock was a master and some of the current Horror Hacks could learn from his style.
