Technically midnight and noon don't have an AM or PM.

But, most people use 12:00 AM to represent midnight and 12:00PM to represent noon, except of course the US Government for some stupid reason.

The words "midnight" and "noon" don't use am/pm. But the times they represent (12:00:00 am OR pm) must be one or the other. And nobody understands that base 10 counting systems don't change over until the recurrence of "1." Which is why all the simpletons like Johnny and Billy think 12:00:00 is AM.
