I haven't looked at the off the shelf maps for them yet. But the AP itself wouldn't add any power. That's still in the tune. You shouldn't rely on a generic tune to get everything out of the car. ProTuning is still highly recomended.

AP2 does add some other features though.

Map size limits aren't a problem any more. AP1 map changes were limited by byte size in the AP. Tuners got around this by splitting the tune into a base map and realtime map. With the AP2 this isn't necessary.

AP1 contained a subaru flash for use when you unmarried. This may or may not have been the same calibration you originally had. AP2 makes a backup of your ECU during the marry process and puts it back when you unmarry for a true return to stock.

Faster flashing.

USB support.

Parameter monitoring. The AP1 could only show you boost. AP2 can show many more live parameters.

I think there's some 0-60 type psuedo G-tech stuff in there too.

People keep talking about launch control and other advanced features but there's been no definate word if/when from COBB.
